SEN Teacher job summary
Required to start 1 January 2023 in this 7-17 age special school for pupils with complex learning needs. The school currently has 180 pupils on roll.
We are looking for teachers with a clear understanding, or deep interest in working with pupils with a range of complex needs. The successful candidates will need a Primary skill set ideally, but be able to relate to older pupils or will be willing to learn phonics and early maths pedagogy.
A calm, child centred, patient disposition is essential.
The Creative Arts TLR would be leading Art, Drama and Music provision across the school. There is no need to be a specialist in these areas but a keen interest and enthusiasm is essential. This role is supported by a music therapist, in house music instructor, art coordinator and close links with the English Lead for drama provision.
