What skills and experience we're looking for

Required for September 2025; an enthusiastic, self-motivated teaching assistant dedicated to improving the lives and education of young people with a range of special educational needs in our Integrated Resource Unit.

Stradbroke is a vibrant learning community with nearly 500 pupils including a two year old provision, nursery and an Integrated Resource for children with special needs. The school was last inspected in July 2022 and was judged as a Good school. We are looking to appoint a positive, energetic and professional teaching assistant to add to our hard working team in our Early Years department at Stradbroke.

Experience of working with children with SEND is desired and the ability to build good relationships with pupils and colleagues is essential.

The successful candidate will have the skills to work effectively with teachers and other support staff and be able to run key worker groups and interventions with individual pupils, where directed, with maximum impact, whilst also demonstrating great initiative and flexibility. Applicants must be patient, inspirational and inclusive in your work with pupils. You should demonstrate an ability to be organised and pro-active in your approach and to seek to forge good working relationships with the rest of the staff here in our IR and the wider Stradbroke staff to achieve the best possible outcomes for all of our children.

Visits to the school are encouraged; please telephone the school office on 0114 2399320 to arrange a visit with the Headteacher.
