SEN Teaching Assistant
Hours: 26.25 hours per week
Working Pattern: 08.45-3.15 Monday - Friday
Contract: Fixed Term contract until 31.08.2026
Salary: K scale £12.52-£13.27 per hour ( depending on qualifications and experience)
Start date: 08/09/2025

Millbrook Primary School wants to appoint an enthusiastic , committed and inspirational teaching assistant, with excellent interpersonal skills, who is an advocate of inclusive practice. The willingness and the flexibility to work with all ages, supporting individuals and small groups, in our SEN unit or in the mainstream is essential.
The successful candidate will enjoy working with children, keep smiling whatever happens, be creative , calm and really believe that every child always matters!
Whatever your level of experience, what is most important is that you are a team player, with high expectations of achievement and behaviour. You should have a real passion for learning and an empathy for the issues faced by children with Special Educational Needs.

Millbrook Primary School is committed to safeguarding children and therefore successful candidates will be required to provide recent relevant references , and undergo a medical check, online searches and a DBS disclosure check at an enhanced level.
Qualifications: Successful candidates will hold GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above, Level 2 equivalents or have significant SEN experience in a specialist setting.
