The post is for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work initially in our Reception class with a little boy with autism. You will need to provide support with an alternative bespoke curriculum and learning activities in a safe space as well as support within the classroom in order to guide him through the school day.

The child has displayed no challenging behaviours, but likes to have the support of an adult and responds very well to a constant caring approach. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of the strategies that can be used to support this child and to make sure that we can be as inclusive as possible with him in school.
