SENCO job summary
Connaught Junior School is seeking a passionate and dedicated SENCO to lead and develop outstanding SEND provision to start, ideally in September 2026, however we are able to be flexible on this. You will shape strategy, coordinate support, and work closely with staff, families and external partners to remove barriers and secure inclusive, high-quality teaching. Key Accountabilities Include:
• Overseeing the ADPR
• Liaising with professional partners
• Working with parents as key stakeholders
• Assessment and tracking
• Line Managing TAs/LSAs

The successful candidate will:
• Have experience of teaching and developing children with additional needs.
• Have an excellent understanding of SEND statutory responsibilities and how these must be delivered to support the child achieve.
• Be committed to supporting personalised learning for children on the SEN Register. Developing effective interventions.
• Be a confident team player and commitment to working with internal and external parties to ensure children receive relevant support.
• Be willing to work with the Inclusion Team to support the delivery of inclusive practices.
• Be a team player who is enthusiastic about developing and working with others
Working Hours: This is a part-time, 3 day per week role
Salary Range: This is a Leadership payscale role L1-L6 £53,198 - £60,001 (depending on experience)
Start date: Ideally we would like the candidate to start in September 2026 , but we are flexible on this.
