An exciting opportunity has arisen at St. James’ CEC Primary School in the beautiful town of Emsworth. We are an inclusive, joyful school community where everyone feels welcome, valued and respected. Our children are at the heart of every decision we make as we want them to be happy, safe and to excel in their learning.
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly skilled, innovative and enthusiastic Inclusion Leader, SENCO who is personable and able to think creatively, to join our senior leadership team and contribute significantly to the holistic outcomes for our pupils.
The successful candidate will provide the vision, knowledge and expertise in all aspects of inclusion with a particular focus on SEND.They will have excellent interpersonal skills and be responsible for leading and co-ordinating all elements of inclusion to ensure high quality inclusive teaching and learning outcomes for pupils.
This is a key role for the school, and the successful applicant will be directly involved in driving the school forward. This is a non-teaching role, giving you the time and capacity to focus on what truly matters – supporting children to achieve their full potential.

We are looking for a leader who:
- Will lead and develop our inclusion strategy
- Has a proven track record of raising attainment, as a teacher, inclusion manager or SENCO and forms positive relationships with all stakeholders.
- Has middle or senior leadership experience, can analyse data and implement positive change
- Holds the NASENCo qualification
- Is passionate about inclusion, personalised learning and committed to enhancing the life chances of all children
- Would be willing to become a Deputy DSL
- Will develop and implement effective strategies to support pupils with SEND
- Can identify and devise innovative and effective intervention programs for pupils
- Can work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, governors and outside agencies.
- Has excellent
communication and organisational skills
