SEND Administrator job summary

The postholder will provide administrative support to the SENDCo, Assistant SENDCo and the school's Exam Access Arrangements Assessor. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our Study Support Faculty, supporting the delivery of high-quality provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

As SEND Administrator, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the department. You will coordinate and maintain SEND records, support communication with parents, external agencies and the Local Authority, manage Teaching Assistant timetables, and assist with examination access arrangements. The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and committed to ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.

The Study Support staff work tirelessly to ensure that all SEND students are supported to achieve their full potential across the curriculum. For students who are unable to access our mainstream curriculum there is a comprehensive and bespoke Nurture curriculum in place which is taught by subject specialists. Building on this further, creating a bespoke curriculum for a targeted group of students who are working significantly below their peers and have a diagnosis of Autism.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and forward-thinking team that is committed to making a genuine difference to the lives of young people.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and personable individual who is passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will have excellent administrative and communication skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks effectively and maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

You will be a strong team player who can build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues and external agencies, whilst remaining calm and professional in a busy school environment. Experience of working in an educational setting or supporting SEND provision would be advantageous, but most importantly, you will share our commitment to ensuring every student receives the support, encouragement and opportunities they need to thrive and achieve their full potential.
