The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive SEND Administrator to provide essential administrative and organisational support to the SENCO and wider inclusion team.

The role is central to ensuring the effective coordination, monitoring and recording of provision for students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), in line with statutory requirements and school policies.

Key aspects of the role include

        • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date SEND records, including EHCPs, SEND support plans and provision mapping
        • Managing SEND information systems and ensuring data protection compliance
        • Coordinating annual reviews and ensuring statutory deadlines are met
        • Acting as a point of contact for parents/carers and liaising with external agencies
        • Organising and minuting meetings such as annual reviews and intervention planning sessions
        • Supporting monitoring, reporting and audit processes relating to SEND provision

        This is a key administrative role that contributes directly to improving outcomes and ensuring inclusive practice across the academy.

        About You

              You will have absolute commitment to wanting the best for children and young people, along with tact, discretion and diplomacy in all interpersonal relationships with parents/carers, students and colleagues at work. You will be self-motivated and have a personal drive to complete tasks to the required timescales and quality standards, you must have the flexibility to adapt to changing workload demands and new school challenges that may involve working beyond prescribed hours on occasion.

                You will be a skilled administrator with excellent organisational and communication skills, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

                  You will:

                  • Have experience in an administrative role and handling confidential information
                  • Be proficient in IT systems including Microsoft Office and databases/MIS systems
                  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
                  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
                  • Show a professional, approachable and empathetic manner when working with students, families and colleagues

                  You will also have an awareness of SEND and inclusive practices, alongside a commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people.

                  Experience within a school or SEND environment and knowledge of EHCP processes would be advantageous, though not essential.
