SEND Class Teacher for Post 16 job summary
Polden Bower School are looking for a dynamic, creative and flexible full-time teacher to work in our Post 16 department to start in September 2026 on a permanent contract.
Polden Bower School has a pupil population of 260, it has three main bases. Albert Street Campus is for our youngest children in Early years and Key Stage 1. Bower Lane Campus is the biggest centre and caters for children from key stage 2 to Post 16 and we have a small Satellite base within Somerset Bridge Primary School. As part of Bower Learning Partnership, we are in a hard Federation with Avalon Special school in Street and we work in collaboration with the Pupil Referral Units in Somerset.
We are looking for an outstanding teacher with experience of Post 16 or special educational needs to work within our school. We have a small Post 16 with the main offer being community based as we prepare our young people for life after school. We offer a personalised curriculum alongside a wide range of enrichment opportunities and interventions. You would be working within a supportive team of committed teachers and support staff.
