SEND Support Officer
Salary: Band B Point 7 - 12
(£22,814.91 - £24,712.00 actual salary per annum)
37 hours per week
Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm
30-minute unpaid lunch break each day
38 weeks of the year - term time plus inset days

Thames Park Secondary School wishes to appoint a highly organised, efficient, and enthusiastic person to provide highly effective and systematic administrative support to our SENDCo.
You will be helping to promote excellent progress for our students by delivering professional and efficient support to the SENDCo. The ability to be proactive, flexible, adaptable, and organised is essential. If you are a motivated individual with the ability to be a team player and show initiative, we would like to hear from you.
You will need:
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask
- An ability to work with excellent accuracy, detail, and a highly systemic approach
- High standards of verbal and written communication
- To be a team player and show initiative
- Good ICT skills including MS Excel & Word
- A good level of general education to include GCSE maths and English (grade A-C/4-9) or equivalent
Responsibilities include:
- Providing a first-class administrative support to the SENDCo
- Being a key contact point within the department for staff, students, parents, and outside agencies
- Ensuring all SEND student records are accurate and up to date
Previous school experience and a knowledge of Bromcom, word and excel would be an advantage.

Thames Park Secondary School. opened to Year 7 pupils in central Grays in September 2020 as a brand new school. Grays is a vibrant, dynamic, rewarding and inspiring place to work, and enjoys excellent transport links. The area is undergoing large scale redevelopment in Europe as part of the Thames Gateway Development. We are part of a £20+ million building programme and will have excellent, purpose-built accommodation with state of the art specialist equipment and facilities in September 2022. We are the newest school in the Osborne Co-operative Academies Trust which comprises of 12 schools.
