The Governors are seeking to recruit an inspirational and dynamic SENDCo to continue our journey of school Improvement ensuring that our children with additional needs can thrive and develop their knowledge and understanding in line with their abilities and aspirations. We are seeking an experienced teacher who is dedicated to supporting children with SEND.

Are you an outstanding teacher and leader with strategic vision, resilient character, and a strong belief that all young people can succeed?

Do you have a proven track record in raising standards?

Do you have experience in motivating and developing staff to ensure that all students achieve highly? Are you able to work collaboratively with colleagues, receptive to new ideas, and eager to learn?

Applicants must be willing to work towards or hold the national SENDco qualification.

What to expect:

  • The role can be highly rewarding, as you'll have the opportunity to directly contribute to pupils receiving the support they need, to achieve their potential.
  • You will also have a 0.6 teaching responsibility, so you'll need to balance your work as a SENCO alongside your other responsibilities of teaching and preparing for classes.
  • In addition to working with pupils, parents and teachers, the administrative responsibilities of the role are significant. You will need to be a highly organised person.
