What skills and experience we're looking for
About the Role
- This is a non-class-based role, allowing you the time and space to focus on high-quality SEND leadership
- Some teaching or cover responsibility will be required to support pupils and colleagues
- You will take strategic and operational responsibility for SEND across the school
- You will oversee the daily running, development and impact of our Additional Resource Classrooms, ensuring provision is ambitious, well-led and meets pupils’ needs
- You will work closely with the Headteacher, senior leaders, staff, parents and external professionals to secure the best outcomes for children with SEND
We welcome applications from:
- Qualified SENCOs, or
- Teachers with the potential and desire to become a SENCO – full training and support towards the NASENCO qualification will be provided

- Has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents and external agencies
- Can lead, support and inspire staff in delivering excellent SEND provision
- Is organised, reflective and solution-focused
