What skills and experience we're looking for
- Demonstrate they have the necessary skills, knowledge, understanding to implement new ideas, monitor, and feedback progress to individual staff members and improve outcomes for pupils with SEND.
- Support fully our Catholic ethos, vision and values;
- Be confident in leading this important area and to spend time delivering training, interventions, one to one support, be confident in staff feedback and taking swift action if necessary
- Need to be able to liaise with external agencies
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents
- Be creative in inspiring, nurturing and motivating our children and staff;
- Have an awareness of legislation and the local offer
- Support parents as well as pupils through any assessments or SEND reviews
- Needs to have excellent organisational and communication skills to work with agencies and parents and knowledge of interpreting data to understand progress and attainment for pupils with SEND
- Must be a qualified teacher and have a National award in Special EducationalNeedsCoordination
- Prepared to be hardworking and well organised!

Commitment to safeguarding
