What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Experience of working in an office and/or school environment
  • Experience of developing systems of working within an office/school environment
  • Excellent proficiency with word processing, publishing, spreadsheet, presentation, email and database systems
  • Experience of Office 365 and G Suite and their associated online applications
  • Working with confidential material
  • Ability to interact effectively with children, parents, the public and outside agencies
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision and to work to strict deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively in a team: organising, prioritising and delegating tasks
  • Safeguarding and child protection

The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and hard-working person to join our friendly office team as Senior Business Assistant, to start as soon as possible.

Applicants should have experience of working in a busy office environment as well as a very good level of IT knowledge and a willingness to learn new computer-based systems. Applicants should be prepared both to work within existing systems and to develop these and/or their own in order to improve efficiency and output.

The role also involves deputising for the School Business Manager in her absence, and so applicants should bear this responsibility in mind when considering the role. The working hours are between 8am and 4pm - pattern to be discussed with successful candidate.
