What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our school’s journey for an enthusiastic and motivated Upper Key Stage Two teacher to join our friendly and dedicated team. The Academy Council of St John’s School wish to appoint a permanent, full time class teacher for January 2024 who is part of our Senior Leadership Team with a focus on driving Curriculum, Standards & Assessment.
We are looking for a Senior Leader who:
- Is an inspirational role model, passionate about teaching and who is highly motivated and committed to working as part of a friendly, dedicated and hardworking school team
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner
- Can lead a core subject with determination, energy and passion and fully embed our BKCAT curriculum
- Is able to support the strong Catholic ethos and wider life of our school (Catholics and non-Catholics are welcome to apply)
- Has high expectations, will challenge pupils of all abilities and be committed to take a leading role in tracking assessment, raising the achievement of all pupils
- Can effectively lead and manage an agreed area of the curriculum dependent upon experience; a passion for Maths would be desirable
- Has a strong commitment to their own learning, collaborative learning and professional development
- Is able to form successful relationships with parents, staff, governors and the wider school community
