About The Role

Nightingale Primary School is seeking a Senior Midday Meals Supervisor to lead our lunchtime team and help ensure every pupil enjoys a safe, happy and successful lunchtime experience.

This is a key role within our school community. You will oversee the smooth operation of lunchtime provision, supporting and coordinating the Midday Meals Supervisor team while promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing and inclusion across the school.

Working closely with school leaders and staff, you will help create an environment where children can eat, play and socialise safely while developing positive relationships and independence.

As Senior Midday Meals Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate the Midday Meals Supervisor team
  • Help create a safe, positive and inclusive lunchtime environment for all pupils
  • Supervise children during lunch and playtimes, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing
  • Support and develop the lunchtime team, including leading regular team meetings
  • Work closely with school staff to ensure high standards of safeguarding, health and safety
  • Liaise with colleagues, including the kitchen team, to ensure the smooth running of lunchtime provision
  • Respond effectively to incidents and support pupils to make positive choices

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children and supporting their wellbeing
  • Has experience leading or supervising others, ideally in a school or similar environment
  • Is calm, organised and able to use their initiative
  • Communicates effectively and builds positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
  • Promotes positive behaviour and inclusion
  • Has a good understanding of safeguarding and pupil welfare

Previous supervisory experience is desirable, although training and support will be provided. What We Offer
