Senior Midday Supervisor – Sunnyside Primary Academy
We are looking for a Senior Midday Supervisor to join our team here at Sunnyside Primary Academy!
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to lead our Midday Supervisory Assistant team. As Senior Midday Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the team to ensure the smooth running of the lunchtime period. You will act as the key link between the Midday Supervisory Assistants, the Catering Team, and the Senior Leadership Team, supporting effective communication and maintaining high standards of safety, behaviour, and welfare for all pupils.
Your role will include managing rotas, ensuring incidents and accidents are reported accurately, and promoting a calm and positive lunchtime environment across the Academy.
There is also the potential for this role to be linked with a Wraparound Care Supervisor position for those interested in extending their working hours and responsibilities, supporting pupils before and after school as part of our wider provision.
Main Responsibilities:
- Organising and supervising the Midday Supervisory Assistant team.
- Acting as the link between the Midday Supervisory Team and the Senior Leadership Team.
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of pupils at all times during the lunchtime period.
- Promoting positive play and encouraging constructive activities.
- Managing team rotas and ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of the lunchtime service.
- Liaising with the catering team.
- Monitoring and promoting high standards of behaviour in line with Academy guidelines.
- Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in the dining and playground areas.
- Reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately to the Principal and SLT.
