At Insignis Academy Trust we are looking for a Senior Science Technician for The Kingsbrook School. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join the growing Science department in this flagship new school in Aylesbury, with opportunity to bring ideas and contribute to the continued development of the curriculum, culture and ethos of the school and department at it enters it’s fourth year of operation in 2025-26. The role is particularly suited to Early Career Teachers.
Opened in September 2022 to 180 year 7 students, the school will grow by each year of entry until full in 2027-28, and so new members of the team are required to support our next cohort. Located at the heart of the Kingsbrook Estate in Aylesbury, the school boasts state of the art facilities across the mainstream school and a purpose-built Inclusion Unit for children with additional Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
You will work under the guidance of the various Head of Science and subject teachers to support the teaching and learning of all children and young people.
You will be responsible for providing practical and technical support to the Science technicians and ensuring that all materials and equipment as requested by teaching staff are prepared. You will have a working understanding of chemicals and solutions and be enthusiastic about science. You will be responsible for supporting the smooth running of the departments and ensuring that students have access to the materials and equipment they need to excel in their studies.
As a member of our team, you will be passionate about contributing your skills to ensure all our children and young people receive the best possible education. You will be able to work with students across the school in lessons and support the development of both curriculum areas, which are well resourced and popular with our students. You will join a well led thriving and successful team in a popular faculty area within the school that really values Science.
These subjects are very popular and successful, and this is an exciting opportunity for the right colleague to join us.
