Senior Science Technician job summary
Thank you for your interest in the role of Senior Science Technician at The Milton Keynes Academy.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and well organised colleague to join our experienced Science department at MKA. We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a relevant discipline within a laboratory or similar environment, and who has experience in the line management of others. The successful candidate will line manage a team of two Science Technicians, working under the direction of the Head of Science.
The role involves providing a wide variety of resources to support science lessons, especially student practical experiments and teacher demonstrations, including clearing up afterwards. You will also support the ordering of materials and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The technician role involves some student contact.
We are based in central Milton Keynes, an area that continues to grow and thrive at a rapid rate. The Milton Keynes Academy joined Creative Education Trust in September 2018. This has enabled the school to continue its rigorous pursuit of rapid improvement for the children it teaches.
