Senior Teaching Assistant job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Senior Teaching Assistant to take on a key role within our school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to pupils’ learning while supporting and developing a committed team.

In this role, you will:

Lead and deliver high quality interventions to accelerate pupil progress

Act as a vital link between teaching staff and Teaching Assistants, ensuring effective communication and collaboration

Line manage and support Teaching Assistants, driving their development and ensuring they are deployed effectively

Work closely with the SENCo and Inclusion Manager to plan and manage support timetables across the school

Provide mentoring and guidance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Support the SENCo with administrative duties and essential documentation

Promote high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour, ensuring the best outcomes for all children
