Site / Facilities Manager L1 job summary

Are you a hands-on leader who takes pride in creating safe, welcoming environments? We're looking for an experienced Site / Facilities Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our school site, ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, secure, clean and well-maintained for our pupils, staff and visitors.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll lead our cleaning, caretaking and grounds teams, oversee maintenance and repairs, manage contractors, monitor health and safety compliance, and play a vital role in keeping our school running smoothly. You'll also act as a key holder, respond to emergency call-outs when required, and help ensure our facilities remain in excellent condition all year round.

We're looking for someone with experience in site or facilities management, strong leadership skills, a practical approach to maintenance and repairs, and a sound understanding of health and safety. Flexibility, initiative and a commitment to safeguarding are essential.

Working Pattern:

  • Week 1: Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-3:00pm | Friday: 7:00am-2:30pm
  • Week 2: Monday-Thursday: 1:30pm-9:30pm | Friday: 11:30pm-7:00pm
  • Saturday working (8:00am-4:00pm) is required on a shared rota with the Facilities Manager, approximately every other week.
