Salary: Grade 5 SCP 8-12 (£14,977 - £15,968 Actual)

Hours: 20 hours per week, 1:00pm until 5:00pm AYR

Fixed Term until 31/08/2027 (With a view to the role possibly becoming

full-time and permanent from September 2027 for the right candidate)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a practical, reliable, and skilled Site Facilities Officer to join our team as soon as possible. This role will be predominantly based at Chiltern Primary School, with occasional travel across our Trust sites as needed. Ideally, we are looking for someone with a trade background or practical experience using tools of the trade—someone who is handy and confident with general DIY task work to help maintain our school environment to a high standard.

Main duties include:

  • Managing site security, opening/closing facilities, and setting/unsetting alarm systems.

  • Performing routine/planned maintenance, reactive repairs, DIY task work, and health and safety checks.

  • Assisting with school events, lettings, porterage, and emergency maintenance.

  • Participating in an on-call rota for alarm activations across Trust sites (additional remuneration provided).
