What skills and experience we're looking for
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Undertake the open up and lock up of the school site and buildings, maintaining a high security procedure
- Undertake minor maintenance and DIY and a programme of general maintenance and housekeeping to ensure the school is clean and safe for all to use
- To operate the heating, lighting, fire alarm, burglar alarm etc
- To complete various safety checks, e.g. COSHH, Legionella, Fire across the whole school – daily, weekly, monthly and termly
- To report major items for repair to senior staff and arrange for quotes where necessary to repair
- To initiate and maintain contact with contractors for regular planned maintenance and ‘one off’ jobs
- To arrange three quotations for works/projects
- To oversee contractors and deliveries on site ensuring goods are stored in the correct place
- Undertake any other appropriate duties as assigned by senior staff
