Site Manager job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable Site Manager who will play a vital role in creating and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in our school community. You will have a strong work ethic and be driven to maintain our school sites to the highest standard. The role will be for 22 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year, times to be agreed.
The role is varied and will include many different activities and responsibilities, including:
Security of buildings, including securing the school sites after morning drop-off.
General routine maintenance, undertaking minor repairs for which general handyman skills are essential.
Arrange routine and statutory testing to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
Compliance with Health and Safety regulations, IOSH certified or willing to undertake training.
Liaise with contractors, monitor contracts and ensure they adhere to rules around school.
Carry out porterage and event set up.
Undertake other duties as referenced in the job description.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be positive, self motivated, able to work independently and part of a team and in a proactive manner. You will also need to have an understanding of IT and the ability to learn about systems related to running the school, including heating, security, and fire alarm systems. Occasionally, you may be required for after school events, for which overtime will be paid through prior agreement with the Headteacher.
