About The Role

We are seeking a reliable, practical and proactive Site Supervisor to work across Millennium Primary School and Timbercroft Primary School, helping to ensure both sites are safe, welcoming and well maintained for pupils, staff and visitors.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being a trusted part of a school community. Working closely with school teams and the Trust’s Estates function, you’ll play a vital part in keeping both environments running smoothly every day.

Because the role is split across two sites, own transport is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Across both schools, you will:

  • Open, secure and monitor the school premises.

  • Carry out basic maintenance, minor repairs and general upkeep.

  • Ensure buildings and grounds are safe, clean and well presented.

  • Support health and safety compliance and complete routine checks.

  • Liaise with contractors and the Trust’s Estates team.

  • Set up spaces for school activities and events.

  • Act as a friendly, visible presence for pupils, staff and visitors.

You don’t need to know everything on day one — full support and guidance will be provided.

Who You Are

This role would suit someone who is:

  • Practical, proactive and takes pride in their work.

  • Comfortable working independently and managing tasks across two sites.

  • Safety-conscious with strong attention to detail.

  • Friendly, approachable and reliable.

  • Experienced in caretaking, maintenance, facilities or similar roles (school experience helpful but not essential).

  • IT literate and happy to use basic systems (training provided).

A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential due to travel between schools.

What We Offer

As part of the Maritime Academy Trust, you’ll be supported and valued as part of a wider, collaborative community.

Here’s what we offer:

  • A supportive, people-focused school culture.

  • Children who are polite, motivated and a pleasure to work around.

  • Opportunities for development and progression across the Trust.

  • Local Government Pension Scheme.

  • National terms and conditions.

  • Comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing support.

  • A role where your work genuinely makes a daily difference.

At Millennium Primary, we pride ourselves on being a friendly, inclusive school with a positive ethos towards children, parents, carers and staff.
