Sixth Form Progress Coach job summary
Are you highly motivated, well organised and thrive in an ever changing and busy environment? Then Rainhill Sixth is the place for you.
We are looking to appoint a Progress Coach as soon as possible to work around students’ needs, when you will proactively support students to achieve the best that they can in their academic/vocational studies and manage issues related to their personal development, behaviour or welfare that might be barriers to their progress or achievement.
You must be able to;
• support students in achieving their full academic potential via one to one mentoring, action planning and close monitoring
• Prepare students for their next steps, whether that be progression within Further Education, to apprenticeship or applications for university or employment
• Plan and deliver a comprehensive tutorial programme, which includes a focus on developing study skills such as time management, resilience and revision strategies
• Supporting work experience placements for students to ensure RH6 meets the 16-19 study programme requirements.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and have experience of coaching and mentoring. Some evening work may occasionally be required. Previous experience of working with students is essential.

Rainhill High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form centre located in Rainhill, Merseyside, England.
The school converted to an academy under Rainhill Learning Village in March 2017. More recently, the school has become part of the Stephenson Trust.
The school is the official Liverpool F.C. Academy Education Centre in Merseyside for under-18 players to be educated. Notable former pupils from the academy include Raheem Sterling and Trent Alexander-Arnold. The school has recently partnered with FA FE to strengthen post-16 education for the players. FE FA is owned and run by Robbie Fowler, former Liverpool and England footballer.
In addition to Liverpool FC, it has formal partnerships with Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Liverpool John Moores University and University of Leeds.
