The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate SENCO to join our vibrant school community. The ideal candidate will be creative, compassionate and courageous, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our children. You will play a crucial role in leading our special educational needs provision, working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure that every child receives the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create inclusive learning environments.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents and caregivers, ensuring open communication and partnership.
  • Lead training and professional development for staff on SEN best practices.

This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.
