Salford City Academy has an exciting opportunity for a specialist (SEN) administrator to join our Pastoral and wider school team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the support and success of our students on our journey towards excellence. You will be integral in supporting the academy to communicate effectively with students, parents and carers.

We continue to improve year on year, our academy is oversubscribed, enabling us to expand our team significantly and invest heavily in the school building and site. The academy enjoys state of the art facilities and has a committed, high quality teaching team which is focussed on engaging and motivating all students. We have invested over 3.5 million in the last two years and a further 1.5 committed to be invested. Into the building over the past five years and investment won’t stop into the future. We accept no excuses for disruption to learning or poor behaviour. We have a very clear and well-structured behaviour system which supports this.

Salford City Academy is committed to professional development; all staff are expected to actively participate in a programme of continuing professional development (CPD). We work collaboratively, share good practice, and have a Trust-wide approach to development. We need to make sure that we have the right people in the right place, doing the job that is needed to build excellent provision for our children and young people. Staff are supported professionally to ensure they can do that and are valued and recognised for their work. We have an extensive professional development programme within the academy, where staff are involved in reflective practice, coaching, weekly deliberate practice and CPD focused on academy, subject and individual priorities.
United Learning schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resources, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance. Our approaches within the academy support this so that our main focus can be on planning and delivering high quality teaching and learning. For example, all behaviour and detentions are managed centrally by the Inclusion Team. This allows teachers the time and capacity to deliver high quality lessons and supports their workload and well-being
