Sports Centre Bartender
Hours: Minimum of 20 hours per week, Monday and Tuesday evening shifts between 14:00 and 22:00 plus daytime Sundays

Opened in 2019 and located in Beldams Lane in Bishop’s Stortford, the Herts & Essex Sports Centre is a state-of-the-art facility that boasts excellent facilities including six outdoor courts, a sand-dressed astro-turf pitch, a sports hall, a dojo and a social space including a licenced bar. The Sports Centre is used by Herts & Essex students, local partners such as Bishop’s Stortford Judo and Bishop’s Stortford Hockey Club and by members of the local community.
Are you energetic, friendly, and passionate about great service? We’re looking for a Bartender to join our vibrant team. Whether it’s post-match pints, social events, or relaxed drinks after a workout, our bar is the heart of the action — and we need someone like you to keep it running smoothly. What you’ll be doing:
Serving drinks with a smile to our members and guests
Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar
Checking IDs and promoting responsible drinking
Supporting event nights, live sports screenings, and private functions
Creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for everyone
What We’re Looking For:
Previous bar experience is a bonus, but not essential
A friendly, confident communicator who thrives in a busy environment
Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
Able to handle a fast-paced setting with a positive attitude
Must be 18+ due to licensing laws
