What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a Duty Manager to work at West Somerset College Community Sports Centre, to join our friendly and professional team. The facility is open for community use seven days a week and the successful candidate must be able to work morning, evening and weekend shifts.

As a Duty Manager you will be responsible for assisting the Sport & Leisure Development Manager in the daily running and efficient operation of the facility. The successful applicant will have experience of working in a sports/leisure environment, possess good organisational and supervisory skills, with an understanding of customer care, leisure booking systems, health and safety and people management. This is a customer facing position that will require excellent communication skills, supervise staff and liaising with students and members of the public in a friendly and professional manner.

The ideal candidate would possess a L2 Fitness Instructor qualification and there is an opportunity to complete further training with us i.e. L3 Personal Trainer/L3 Exercise & GP Referral. There is also the scope to complete additional PT hours supporting staff and students where suitably qualified.
