Job Title: Sports Coach
Salary: BR7 (Point 22) £30,463 FTE - £21,279.31 actual salary
Hours: 8:30am - 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday (30 minutes lunch break) 30 hours per week 38 weeks per year
Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term (with potential for renewal)
Crofton Junior School is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and skilled Sports Coach to join our dynamic team and help deliver high-quality physical education and sporting opportunities to our pupils.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and the values of fair play. The role involves supporting and delivering PE sessions across the school, leading lunchtime sports activities, and helping to organise and run intra- and inter-school competitions and events.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Organise and lead lunchtime and breaktime sporting activities
Plan and deliver after-school sports clubs (if taking up extra hours)
Work with staff to prepare for sporting events and competitions
Encourage pupil participation in physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with primary-aged children in a sporting or educational setting
Holds relevant coaching qualifications and/or HLTA status (or is working towards it)
Is energetic, proactive and passionate about PE and school sport
Is able to work independently and as part of a wider team
Can inspire and motivate children of all abilities
