- To be accountable for student progress and development within Music, and hold relevant post holders and teaching staff and other specified personnel to account.
- To develop and enhance the teaching practice of others within Music.
- To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum across Music and staff in accordance with the aims of the Academy and the curricular policies.

- To coordinate and develop the peripatetic programme offer to students.
- To effectively manage and deploy teaching / support staff, financial and physical resources within Music to support the designated curriculum.
- To share and support the Faculty and Academy’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
As an expanding Academy there will be opportunities to grow the subject, courses and develop the Music Department and we envisage that the role will evolve under the right leadership. We are fully committed to Music as an integral part of the curriculum and to enrich the lives of our students.
