What skills and experience we're looking for

‘Greatness is not a function of circumstance. Greatness, it turns out, is largely a matter of conscious choice.’

Jim Collins

Thank you for your interest in The Dukeries Academy (TDA) and Academy Transformation Trust (ATT). Our Academy was judged good by Ofsted in October 2021, and we are now committed to achieving greatness by 2025. The opening line of the report highlights our culture, ‘As pupils enter the school, they are reminded of its inclusive culture by crossing the Rainbow Road. The staff know the pupils very well and have their best interests at heart. Pupils say that they are excited to attend this school and feel safe.’

Our team of talented staff are friendly and professional, fully committed to the educational, pastoral, and well-being needs of our students. We are looking to appoint a Subject Specialist Leader of Maths to support the Faculty Leader, be a role model and to deputise when and where appropriate. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious professional with the ability to teach Maths at KS3, KS4 and KS5.

You will join an experienced team who are passionate about innovative teaching with a focus on continual improvement. You will have the opportunity to teach at both GCSE and A level and to join a team of outstanding practitioners who share a passion for excellence.

What the school offers its staff

In return, you can expect fantastic Professional Development opportunities, a comprehensive employee benefits package including shopping discounts, cycle-to-work and gym schemes, cinema tickets and an employee assistance programme.

As a valued leader, you will use your sphere of influence to play an important part in taking TDA from Good to Great, and we can promise it’ll be an exciting and rewarding journey. Along the way, you will gain the satisfaction of #Transforming Lives in our Academy and across our Trust’s twenty-two schools.
