KS3 Teacher (Various Subjects - open to Primary or Secondary Teachers)

Looking for a fresh opportunity? We have a job share available for a September start. This class will be a KS3 semi-formal, mixed gender group, the majority of whom are autistic. Some have additional learning needs. We warmly welcome applications from ECT candidates.

Our Opportunity

Do you enjoy the challenge of teaching children and young people who have special educational needs? Do you have passion, enthusiasm and expertise to teach children and young people to reach their potential?

We are looking for a wonderful teacher for one of our secondary groups. These classes consist of an average of 10 learners with diverse needs, including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties. You will be supported by skilled and knowledgeable teaching assistants to help you deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to these learners.

You will have the enthusiasm and resilience to work with children and young people who have a wide variety of needs including:

  • Autistic spectrum conditions
  • Moderate and severe learning difficulties
  • Speech, language and communication

Skills & Qualifications

  • The ability to cater for the range of learning difficulties, age range and needs of our learners
  • You will be a proven, successful classroom practitioner who consistently makes learning memorable, impacting on all learners to make good progress
  • Qualified Teacher Status

The ability to teach more than one subject and demonstrate a proven successful track record in a comparable SEND setting, will be advantageous.

Primary or Secondary trained candidates may apply; this includes those teachers that are specialists in their subject.
