An exciting opportunity has arisen for Class Teacher to join Leycroft Academy.
Leycroft Academy is a highly specialist primary school dedicated to supporting pupils with a diagnosed Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and all have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). We are committed to providing a personalised, evidence‑informed education that enables every child to achieve their full potential, whatever their starting point.
Our pupils present with significant, persistent and complex social communication and interaction differences, which have a profound impact on their ability to access learning and the general school offer.
The Class Teacher will support with school activities where required, including attending educational trips, extra-curricular activities and parents’ evenings, which may require some out-of-hours availability.
The successful candidate will:

Be passionate about developing children as independent learners and thinkers.
Show eagerness to develop excellent teaching practice and create a learning environment where all pupils can achieve their best.
Be committed to making learning experiences memorable and fun.
Be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and can work effectively as part of a team.
Be organised, professional and proficient, with excellent IT skills.
Work with with the SENCO to ensure pupils with SEND are appropriately supported.
Work with with the DSL and their deputies to ensure safeguarding is promoted.
Work with with the designated teacher for LAC to support LAC and previously LAC.
Hold QTS qualification
