Teacher - Art job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Teacher to join our dedicated team at our alternative provision, supporting students in Years 9, 10, and 11. Our provision offers a nurturing and inclusive environment for young people who may face challenges in mainstream education. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students, delivering a dynamic and inclusive Art curriculum that fosters self-expression and builds confidence. Experience in teaching Design and Technology (DT) would be highly desirable. With small class sizes, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs and celebrating each student's progress. If you are passionate about using Art as a tool for empowerment and are committed to helping students achieve their potential, we would love to hear from you.

The Fermain Academy opened as a brand-new Alternative Provision free school in September 2015 and underwent a £1.6m building project to extend and refurbish the entire building. The academy now has facilities to cater for up to 90 students aged 13-16 at any given time, and is a safe place of learning for those who, for whatever reason, have become disengaged from mainstream education.
Whatever the amount of time a student spends at The Fermain Academy, they are guaranteed a structured and positive learning experience, and an outstanding dedicated team able to provide emotional support in a safe and supportive environment.
