What skills and experience we're looking for

We welcome applications from innovative and enthusiastic KS1/KS2 ECTs and experienced teachers, who wish to join our team for a full-time class teacher role.

There may be an opportunity to lead a curriculum subject area in the future if that is something you are interested in.

Closing date for applications is Wednesday 30 April 2025 at 9:00am. Interviews will take place on Tuesday 6 May 2025.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to teach a short lesson to a mixed ability class on Thursday 1 or Friday 2 May 2025.

Informal visits to school are welcome and encouraged. We have allocated Monday 7 April at 9:00am and 2:00pm and Friday 11 April at 9:00am and 2:00pm for visits. Please contact the school office to book an appointment and come and see for yourself what a great school we are!

Crocketts Community Primary is a thriving multi-cultural primary school in the heart of Smethwick. We have high levels of SEND including 12 full time children in our focused provision for children with physical and medical needs.

We are a very hard-working team who are driven to improve the life chances of our children. All staff are trained in trauma and attachment and the successful candidate will be trained to use emotion coaching. Staff are expected to use this approach with all children in order to ensure that children, including those with additional needs, learn to regulate their emotions at all times.
