What skills and experience we're looking for

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team of an Academy that is having a substantial impact on pupils’ lives.

To be successful, we are looking to appoint a class teacher in our KS1 team. This will be permanent, full time roles starting September 2024. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our value of 'children first'. Therefore you will be a dynamic and inspiring classroom practitioner with a passion and track record for improving pupil outcomes.You must have a demonstrable commitment to helping all pupils achieve their best, despite their background. With high expectations of behaviour, you will motivate pupils through high-quality teaching while successfully nurturing and inspiring them. You will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success while maintaining a positive learning environment for all children within the school.

You will have overall responsibility for the outcomes of the pupils in your class, ensuring the quality of teaching, attendance and behaviour within your class is of a high standard.

Your innovative approach will be informed by your ability to analyse and interpret pupil progress data, enabling pupils to make accelerated progress. This will include experience of adapting learning to meet the needs of SEND pupils and a commitment to inclusive practice. Experience of working in KS1 with a proven impact on raising standards is desirable however not essential.

We are a two form entry Academy and one of a number of primary academies within The Elliot Foundation Academies Trust and we are federated with two other local schools, Kings Rise Academy in Birmingham and Croft Academy in Walsall.
