What skills and experience we're looking for
Our school is looking to appoint an excellent practitioner who has a real understanding and passion for supporting and teaching children with SEND.
You will be working within our Specialist Resource Base (SRB) for children with ‘Learning and Cognition’ difficulties. The SRB has places for 10 Key Stage 2 pupils and 10 Key Stage 1 pupils, who join us from local schools for a period of 2 terms. The children attend four days a week (Mon to Thurs).
You must be able to effectively deliver high quality, creative, child-centred and challenging learning experiences to the pupils within the SRB. We looking for an excellent practitioner who has experience of teaching in either KS1 OR KS2. It is not essential that the successful candidate has had a wealth of experience in both Key Stages.
We would like to interview you if you:
- Qualified Teacher Status;
- Are a consistently Outstanding teacher;
- Have excellent experience and/or a talent in working with children who have SEND
- Can use and develop ICT effectively to support and enhance learning
- Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills
