Job summary
Teachers, Glendinning Academy, Newton Abbot
We are looking to appoint outstanding Teachers with experience of working with challenging/SEN pupils. We welcome all applicants and are particularly interested in those with English, Maths or Art specialist knowledge.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent teamwork and communication skills, the ability and enthusiasm to make a difference with students who have a range of needs. We look forward to hearing from you.
Teachers work collaboratively with our team in order to plan schemes of work that provide all of pupils access to the national curriculum through experiential and active learning. At key stage 4 and 5 pupils will have the opportunity to study qualifications suitable to their level and need and linked with our whole school outdoor based theme including GCSEs and A levels.
Wave MAT is dedicated to the safeguarding of children and Safer Recruitment Procedures will be followed. The position requires a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

Salary: Teachers Pay Scales + SEN Allowance
Hours: 0.4 – 1.0 positions available (13 – 32.5 per week)

About Glendinning Academy
Glendinning House is a school for children aged from 7 to 19 (key stage 2 to key stage 5) with social interaction and communication needs including those on the Autism Spectrum. Our students will all have Education, Health and Care Plans with a primary needs of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
Our pupils benefit from a unique curriculum. Project based learning at key stage 2 and 3 with themes set in the context of nature and the outdoors provides access to the national curriculum and the opportunity to develop social communication and interaction skills.
