Teacher (KS1) Part-Time (Monday, Thursday, Friday) job summary

We
are a thriving Church of England lower school in a beautiful setting in
Leighton Buzzard. From a busy pre-school, thorough to Year 4, we have
approximately 280 children on role.  We
have 45 children in each year, from Reception through to Year 4. This means
that each class in Key Stage 1 comprises Years 1 & 2 children, and Key
Stage 2 classes with mixed Years 3 & 4.

The successful candidate will be based initially in Key Stage 1.  You will be experienced in delivering systematic phonics and working to an agreed maths scheme.  More
experienced candidates will take on responsibility as a foundation subject
lead, e.g. Geography, and will enjoy coaching colleagues as required.

We are pleased to have
close ties with our parish church All Saints, Leighton Buzzard where we hold
regular services. Candidates will be happy to uphold the school’s Christian
values and character, including daily worship and class prayers.
