What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a passionate and Inspiring Art Teacher to join our talented, creative and highly skilled Art department. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking team that takes real pride in both the quality of its teaching and the breadth of its curriculum. Our Art department is one we are genuinely proud of. In recent years we have invested significantly in curriculum development across KS3, building a programme that reinforces key skills and conceptual understanding whilst ensuring diverse and representative content sits at its heart. That work is reflected in our outcomes - we achieve excellent results at both GCSE and A Level, and we are looking for someone who will contribute to sustaining and building on that success.

You will be an experienced or early-career Art teacher with a strong subject specialism and, ideally, some experience of textiles. You will have a commanding yet warm classroom presence and a genuine ability to inspire reluctant learners to engage with and enjoy creative work. You are someone who goes above and beyond - whether that's running an enrichment activity, staging an exhibition, or supporting a student discovering a medium for the first time. You bring a positive, detail-oriented approach to your work and are a natural collaborator and team player who understands the importance of consistency, shared standards, and collective ambition.
