Teacher of Art job summary

Cansfield High School is looking to appoint a Teacher of Art to join our vibrant Creative Faculty. The successful candidate will be an inspiring and dynamic teacher with a passion for art and creativity, and the vision to further develop this popular and successful subject area. Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with colleagues to achieve the very best outcomes for our students. This is an 18-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

This post is open to both experienced and newly qualified teachers and presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued development of Art across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who is fully committed to inspiring young people and enriching the curriculum.

You will be a creative practitioner who thrives on inspiring young people, encouraging experimentation, and nurturing individual artistic expression. A collaborative approach is essential, as is the ability to motivate and challenge students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear passion for inclusive learning, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to helping every student find their creative voice. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and forward-thinking school community.
