Teacher of Art & Photography job summary
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Art and Photography teacher to join The Technology and Arts Team at Moseley School and Sixth Form, a successful faculty and popular amongst the student body. We are looking for someone who is motivated to make a significant difference to the life chances of our students.
As a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Art and Photography you will have a clear passion for and knowledge of the subjects and an excellent understanding of the curriculum and specifications. Art and Photography students consistently achieve strong outcomes which have been significantly above the national average for the last 4 years. Your priorities will be to develop, plan and deliver challenging and engaging lessons for all learners. The Art department curriculum explores mostly 2D materials however we do have access to a kiln and 3D working space if this is a strength you hold and would like to develop in our department.
Photography is a very popular subject within the school consistently delivering one of the best results in the school. We have a specialist Photography suite that is focused on students exploring images digitally, students use the latest version of Photoshop. The ideal candidate must be confident in using Photoshop or a desire to learn and upskill themselves with support from the department.

Moseley School and Sixth Form is a large comprehensive secondary school with a thriving sixth form. Moseley School first opened its doors in 1923. We value our long history whilst being excited about our future. There are 1300 students, 160 teaching and support staff, excellent facilities housed in a grade two listed building, a modern building which opened in 2012 and a recently completed sports complex and extensive grounds. Staff enjoy subsidised access to our on-site gym.
