What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Degree or equivalent in PE or related subject

  • Qualified teacher status

  • Evidence of continuing professional development

  • Degree at 2:1 or above

  • Achieved coaching qualifications in a number of sports

  • Good knowledge of the PE curriculum

  • Competent use of digital technologies

  • Track record of examination success

  • Ability to teach boy’s PE and supervise boys’ changing rooms

  • A willingness to teach PE in our partner primary schools

  • Commitment to being involved in the wider life of school through participation in extra-curricular activities

  • Willing to organise and participate in enrichment visits to the UK and abroad

  • Experience of working in a similar setting

  • Plays at least one sport to at least regional level

  • Enjoys working with young people

  • Enthusiasm for subject

  • Able to engage, enthuse and motivate students of all abilities

  • Maintains high professional standards
