You are likely to be someone who is or has the potential to be:

  • An inspirational and skilled teacher of computer science

  • Driven by the power of education to transform the lives of the most disadvantaged students

Essential knowledge and skills:

  • An honours degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience of improving outcomes for students in Computer Science as a classroom teacher
  • Successful experience of teaching Computer Science across Key Stage 3-4
  • An understanding of effective pedagogy
  • Knowledge and expertise at teaching Python, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Excellent classroom management skills

Desirable knowledge and skills:

  • Computer Science specialism
  • Ability to teach Computer Science to A-level
  • Ability to analyse and present data coherently
  • Experience of leading school trips and a commitment to the encouraging extra-curricular activities
  • Ability to travel independently between local locations
