What skills and experience we're looking for

Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Design and Technology.Experience teaching Construction would be desirable.

We are looking to fill this vacancy with an enthusiastic individual, with excellent subject knowledge and the ability to teach pupils of all secondary ages. The successful candidate will share our have high expectations for pupils of all ages and prior attainment levels.

If you are an ECT, you will be enrolled on bespoke provision delivered by the Ambition Institute.

You will be responsible for:

  • Teaching classes, including planning, recording, assessing and meeting the social and learning needs of individual pupils
  • Maintaining the positive Catholic ethos and core values of the school
  • Fulfilling the professional responsibilities of a teacher and meeting the expectations set out in the Teachers’ Standards
