The Design & Technology department is a collaborative team of teachers and technicians who are all passionate about seeing young people succeed in their subject. The department offers all areas of D&T at KS3 and GCSEs in 3D Design and Food Preparation & Nutrition alongside Vocational Hospitality & Catering and Construction. Over the last few years, the department has seen a significant increase in results and a rise in numbers opting for KS4. We are looking for an individual who can add to this already friendly and supportive team; a teacher who builds excellent relationships with students and inspires them in their learning. Ideally, you will be able to teach across all areas of Design & Technology at KS3 and be able to teach (or be willing to train to teach) Construction at KS4, which is a new course for 2022. About us Here at Esher High School, we are an oversubscribed, high-performing School. We aim to equip our students with the skills to grow into confident, ambitious and responsible citizens ready to face the challenges of the adult world. Our staff are passionate about seeing young people succeed in their subject. We are committed to continual professional development, including access to peer coaching and bespoke personalised training. Further benefits include a two-week autumn half-term break, a wide range of bespoke professional development opportunities, free gym use and ample on-site parking. If you share our vision based on the unshakeable belief that children learn through all aspects of their daily lives and that their values and knowledge, experiences and habits are as important as their academic qualifications, we would be delighted to hear from you.
