What skills and experience we're looking for
Bluecoat Aspley Academy is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Design and Technology and Health & Social Care, who is outstanding, enthusiastic, committed and successful teacher with a proven ability to teach inspirational lessons to our students.
This is a unique opportunity to work with two established faculties within the Academy.
Our DT faculty runs from KS3 to KS5, covering Product Design, Food and Textiles and student numbers have been increasing at Key Stage 5.
Health and Social Care is a thriving faculty based at Maid Marian Way, with some KS4 teaching at the Aspley site. This is an exciting time for the faculty, as they embark on delivery of the new T-level in Education and Childcare.
We expect the successful applicant to demonstrate a clear understanding of how to deliver the Design and Technology alongside the Health & Social Care curriculum and raise the standards and achievement of our students.
We would be delighted to hear from enthusiastic and committed colleagues looking for the opportunity to help shape the learning experiences of our students in order to meet and beat their potential.
Whilst this post holder will be predominantly based at Bluecoat Aspley Academy, they may be deployed across any of the academies within the Trust in accordance with the needs of the Trust as we grow and develop.
