English teaching is the backbone of our school because it’s more than just two GCSEs; it’s the moulding of an enquiring and critical mind. We are working in conjunction with leading thinkers and institutions launching a new English curriculum across our Trust, in order to reflect these values and meet the challenges of the reformed GCSEs. Our teachers are excited about the future of English in our Academy, and so are our pupils.
Therefore, we are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Teacher – English to join our friendly and committed team from the beginning of Term 5 (earlier start, at February half-term, is possible)
The successful candidate will be:
• A reflective and collaborative practitioner with great subject knowledge who understands the importance of qualitative and quantitative data on informing outstanding teaching and learning – so that no child is left behind.
• Having the students’ best interests at the heart of all you do, you will be able to use your outstanding subject knowledge and excellent pedagogy to support students to love English and fulfil their potential.
• Able to create a stimulating and purposeful environment where pupils excellent progress.
• Skilled at establishing and maintaining strong relationships, using their excellent interpersonal skills, as well as up-to-date knowledge of teaching and behaviour management strategies.
• Optimistic and tenacious in setting and achieving high standards.
• Passionate and driven teacher, committed to make a difference in the lives of our pupils and their communities.
